We want this website to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or assistive technology. This statement explains what we aim for, what we've done, and where we still have work to do.
Commitment
Accessibility is part of the definition of done for every page we ship. We don't retrofit it as a compliance exercise.
Standard we target
WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We aim for Level AAA on colour contrast, typography sizing, and motion-reduction preferences.
What we do
- Semantic HTML landmarks, headings, and lists throughout.
- Keyboard navigability for every interactive surface, including the main navigation mega-menu and the Ask Prometheas assistant.
- Visible focus states that match WCAG 2.4.11 minimum-size guidance.
- Alt text on meaningful imagery; decorative images marked as such.
- Motion-sensitive animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - Colour contrast of body text and UI components meets or exceeds WCAG AA.
- Forms announce error messages to screen readers and keep focus on invalid fields.
Known gaps
We're open about the rough edges:
- Case-study interactive charts (coming in a later phase) will need alternative text descriptions before they ship.
- PDF reports published on Insights are not always fully tagged. We're working with authors on this.
Feedback
If something doesn't work for you, email accessibility@prometheastech.com. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to ship a fix in the next release cycle when possible.
